NI Fire & Rescue Service visit P.5 🧯👩‍🚒🎇

16th Oct 2024

Today Primary 5 were visited by Mr Terry Scott from the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service. Terry talked to us all about the role of the Fire Service, how to stay safe at Hallowe’en and the dangers associated with fire in our homes.   He also told us what information we should know should we ever need to call the Fire Brigade.
We thoroughly enjoyed the session, learned lots of vital information and hopefully you have inspired some children who would like to be fire fighters when they grow up.

Thank you to the NIFRS for providing us with vital information and a pack of games and activities to take home, as well as hopefully inspiring some of our pupils to be firefighters when they grow up!

P.5 parents - this is a good opportunity for you to talk to your child about fire safety in your house, discuss an escape plan and help them to learn their home address, in case they would ever have to make a call to the emergency services.
