Celebrating the feast of St Brigid ✝️
Today was a very special day as we celebrated the feast day of one of our patron saints, St Brigid. As we approach the 1500th anniversary of her death, we recognised the significant impact that this magnificent lady had on Irish life. We learned of traits of her life, including her fearlessness, her determination and her desire to spread the Good News.
We then had an opportunity to follow the lovely tradition of making crosses out of rushes, just as St Brigid did, and many of our pupils are already skilled in this ancient craft.
