Celebrating St Patrick ☘️☘️

In Primary 5 & 6 we have had a very busy few days learning about and celebrating St Patrick. Our fun started off a couple of weeks ago when we had the opportunity enter the Glór na Speiríní Art Competition for Seachtain na Gaeilge.  

We also showcased our weekly learning of the Irish language with Pádraigín by adding voiceover to ICT self-portraits and learned more about the counties and provinces of Ireland by choosing our favourite places and identifying its county and province. We learned all of the life of St Patrick with our wonderful student teacher Miss Donnelly, and created collaborative leaflets on St Patrick and St Patrick’s Day. 

On Friday we celebrated Green Day with Fitness Freddie teaching us lots of dance moves, then we got busy with shamrock crafting. We finished off our celebrations by making “Shamrock Shakes”, McDonald’s style, and some outdoor golden time in the sunshine! ☀️☘️☘️
